Who is club.techoctopus.com open to?

Currently, the club is by invitation-only, which means you can only earn points and rewards by completing an action using the email address we have contacted you on (rewards can be sent to an alternative address). If you’ve not had an invitation, you can request one by using our contact form.

How do I earn points?

We will email you with specially selected content that we believe will be of interest to you based on your job role, you can also discover content by browsing club.techoctopus.com. All content has associated points when you interact with the content, by downloading a whitepaper or filling out a form, for example, you earn points. The number of points associated with each action is clearly indicated on each item.

When you have accrued 100 points, they are automatically redeemed for $10 Uber Eats vouchers, converted to your account currency, and sent to your chosen email address Uber account.

How do I redeem points?

Redemption is automatic, in the first week of the month, we calculate all the points users have accrued in the previous month and send vouchers for each 100 points the user has collected (unused points are rolled over).

How long will vouchers take to reach me?

Users who have accrued at least 100 points by midnight (UTC) on the last day of the previous month can expect to receive vouchers (sent by Uber) in their email within 10 working days of the following month.

I’m expecting vouchers, but I don’t have an email from Uber, what do I do?

If you do not receive the email, there are a few things you can do:

  1. Check that it’s at least 10 working days from the end of the month.
  2. Check your Uber Eats app, if you asked for your vouchers to be sent to the email registered to your account, they will go directly to your account.
  3. Use our contact form and we’ll look into it for you.

What happens if I have less (or more) than 100 points at the end of a month?

Don’t worry, any unused points roll over to the next month. If you have more than 100 points, they will auto-redeem for $10 of vouchers (for every 100 points), any unused points will remain on your accounts, and you can add to them in future months.

How long do I have to use my vouchers?

Vouchers expire 90 days after they are issued, so always be sure to use vouchers on your account first when paying.

Are the number of points earned for each action always the same?

No. Points assigned to activities (downloading, completing a survey etc) differ between actions and can change over time. Typically, new content will be worth more points, but not always. You can always see the number of points associated at the time clearly indicated.

What if I’m not interested?

No problem! If you’re not interested in particular content, simply ignore the email. If our emails are too frequent or offer the wrong types of content, you can update your preferences or opt-out of communications from Club TechOctopus (and our other brands) at https://preferences.berne.media/.

How do I find out how many points I have?

Every asset you access on club.techoctopus.com includes an indication of the points associated with it, and we also include that in emails we send you. If you'd like a reminder of your total balance, you can request via our contact form by selecting 'Balance inquiry', and we will reply within 2 working days with your current count.

How can I earn more points?

You can earn more points by visiting club.techoctopus.com. You can also look out for future emails we may send you with new opportunities to access content and earn points.

Where do you send rewards?

As our content and questionnaires relate to your professional role, new opportunities to engage with content will always be sent to your work email address. However, you can always provide us with a personal email for us to deliver your vouchers.
